Why it matters on the water

Widgets show data only when there's a source for it. Navigation and environment widgets fill from GPS and the weather/forecast at your position; engine/tank/battery widgets fill from a connected NMEA source (module 06). Instance‑aware sources mean each engine, tank, and battery gets its own gauge.
How to use it
Open the full‑screen dashboard
Tap the instrument strip (or its expand control) to open the full‑screen dashboard. It's organized by category, and each tile shows the value, its label, and its source.
Customize the layout
- Reorder — drag a widget to move it. The grid reflows for any count/order.
- Resize — resize tiles in the full‑screen dashboard to make the ones you watch bigger.
- Prune — remove widgets you don't use from the widget manager; add them back anytime.
- Your selection and order persist between sessions.
Landscape
Rotate the device to landscape for a wide dashboard; the panel minimizes to compact columns to keep the chart visible, and the full‑screen dashboard uses the extra width.
Read tanks & batteries
Fuel tank, fuel consumption, and battery widgets show a level trace (recent history), so you can see a tank draining or a battery recovering at a glance, not just the instantaneous number.
Tips
- Put the 4–6 widgets you actually watch at the top so they fill the compact strip; bury the rest.
- If a gauge shows "—" or no source, that data isn't connected yet — for engine/tank/battery, that means NMEA (module 06).
- Use landscape + full‑screen at the helm; portrait strip while you're moving around.
- ETA and cross‑track error come alive when you're navigating a route (module 11).
Troubleshooting
- Engine/fuel/battery gauges empty → No NMEA source connected, or that PGN isn't on your network. See module 06.
- Wind/wave/current empty → No forecast loaded at your position, or no live wind source; pan to a location with a forecast or connect a wind instrument.
- Panel covers too much chart → Resize/minimize it, or reduce the widget count.
